we asked david to inspect and make repair recommendations to a tiled shower stall in our fourth floor house. the grout was cracked and missing in places. david inspected the tile work and recommended a caulking solution rather than simply regrouting. he felt regrouting would crack further down the trail because the fourth floor location of our home would still be subject to minor movement from the likes of wind, and relatively flexible caulking would hold up better. the point is, david was very thoughtful in the recommendation he offered. in performing the work, david was very thorough, starting with careful cleaning through to the final sealing. he proved reliable also, turning up at the job site when he said he would (3 visits required including the initial inspection). further, i found david personable, and he also provided comprehensive advice regarding future maintenance and care of our tiled space. i have no reservations recommending david for the type of work he undertook for us. he also offers a wide range of other services that may be of interest.

David from New Era Remodeling did a partial remodel for my master bedroom bath. His estimate very detailed and spelled out what I what he was going to do, and his expectations of me as well. He stuck to his estimate, and any cost overruns were discussed beforehand. The work he performed was great. He was on time, took care to protect the house from debris and walking. David came in to help me with installing my Range hood. I bought it from Home Depot (Brano 36inch). It came with generalized instructions but not a lot of details to help a DIY like myself. It would be a focal point of the kitchen which is why I enlisted the help. He went out of his way to move an electrical outlet so that it was hidden, I did have an electrician install said outlet for the hood based on its semi sound but didn’t know enough about them to understand that it was in the wrong place. He repaired the surrounding sheetrock, painted and cut the range vent that goes to the ceiling to size (while not the best fit, i have an older home with uneven ceilings (they angle slightly down due to the construction of the home) and IMO Im not sure that many would catch this subtlety. In addition he researched my range hood and found that the provided flexible vent connect was not made from material that would withstand heat/steam over time. Thus making sure that safety was a priority! He discovered that the provided material for venting wasn’t enough and to avoid a future headache advised on some upgrades. Which is exactly what I was hoping a professional would do/advise! There were many issues to address in order to make it an “easy” install but he got it done. Due to the complexity of the situation it did take longer than I expected but to be fair I was already overwhelmed with the intricacies needed to complete the job hence why I hired him. He did great work. Found solutions and did so with little intervention from my self. I was impressed with his ingenuity and grateful that I hired him.
